Hun-Mok Jung
Hun-Mok (°1978, Soon-Cheon - KR) received in 2001 a master degree Performance Producer at the Seoul School of Performing Arts. One year later he won the first prize of debut choreographer at the Modern Dance Festival in Seoul and the prize of Best Dancer at the Ulsan Dance Festival. In 2004 he graduated at the Dankook University with the thesis 'Investigation of the dance producing by art management' and established the dance/theatre group JU MOK. In 2007 his performance Ring Wanderung got selected for the Seoul Dance Collection. The Arts Council Korea selected Hun-Mok as rising choreographer and JU MOK got a subsidy. In 2009 JU MOK got selected for the MODAFE with An unconvenient true. Other pieces created by Hun-Mok are A Whistle (2002), Fragile Swallow (2003), Wild Card (2004), A Little Deficiency (2004), Wanted (2005), Monster (2005) and Everyday new face. He also worked on the film GOGO 70 (2008) as assistant choreographer and teaches since 2004 at the Dankook University, Suncheon University and Chungnam Arts High School.
During the summer of 2008 Hun-Mok took part in the audition of Peeping Tom during the Impulstanz festival in Vienna. He appears with them for the first time in 32 rue Vandenbranden. Photo: Herman Sorgeloos
