Bending Reality / Falling - Workshop with Samuel Lefeuvre | Brussels

Bending Reality / Falling, directed by Samuel Lefeuvre, is a workshop entirely focused on the phenomenon of falling. How to let yourself fall? How to apprehend the ground, how to transform a fall into a choreographic element? Are there ways to ward off the fall, to reverse it? What choreographic tools, what physical qualities, what states can we use to fall, to fall, and to get up?

The workshop will be divided into two parts: a first part during which Samuel will share choreographic tools developed during decades mainly dedicated to falling on stage (notably with Peeping Tom!) and a second part during which each participant will be encouraged to engage in a personal reflection on the fall, to develop his own tools, and especially to share them with the group and question them together.

 

Who can participate?
This workshop is aimed at (semi) professional dancers and acrobats, interested in a personal investigation around the concept of falling.

Places for this workshop are limited.
The workshop will be taught in French and English.

 

How to register?
Participation to the workshop costs € 150.

Practical info:

– Workshop from Tuesday, June 21, 2022 to Thursday, June 23, 2022, each time from 9:30 am to 3 pm (with a 1-hour lunch break).

– Please bring comfortable clothing, a towel, knee pads, a refillable water bottle, and snacks and lunch.

– Unfortunately, Peeping Tom cannot help you find accommodation, and is not responsible for additional costs for travel and accommodation of workshop participants.
