Bending Reality / Falling | Brussels

Bending Reality / Falling, led by Samuel Lefeuvre, is a workshop entirely centered around the phenomenon of falling. How to let yourself down? How to approach the ground, how to transform a fall into a choreographic element? Are there ways to ward off the fall, to reverse it? What choreographic tools, what physical qualities, what states can we use to fall, fall, and get up again? The workshop will be divided into two parts: a first part during which Samuel will share choreographic tools developed over decades mainly dedicated to falling on stage (notably with Peeping Tom!) and a second part where each participant will be encouraged to engage in personal reflection on the fall, develop your own tools, and above all share them with the group and question them together.

For who ?

This workshop is aimed at (semi) professional dancers and acrobats, interested in personal research around the concept of falling. Places for this workshop are limited. The workshop will be given in French and English.

How to register ?

Participation in the workshop costs €250. Registrations are possible until 03/22/24. Please send us your CV and motivation via info@peepingtom.be. Selected candidates will be informed on Monday 03/25/24.

Practical information:

– Workshop from Monday April 8, 2024 to Friday April 12, 2024, each time from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (with a one-hour lunch break).

– Please bring comfortable clothing, a towel, knee pads, a refillable water bottle, a snack and lunch.

– Unfortunately, Peeping Tom cannot assist with accommodation and is not responsible for additional travel or accommodation costs for workshop participants.
