Eliana Stragapede (°1996) is a freelance performer,
choreographer, and teacher based in Brussels.
She began her dance education in Italy with mentors
such as Silvia Humaila, Sara Accettura, Ernesto
Valenzano, Osnat Kelner, Kerry Nicholls, and Yoshua
Cienfuegos.
She later trained at Codarts in Rotterdam, working with
internationally renowned choreographers including
Club Guy & Roni, Lukas Timulak, Jiří Kylián, Raphael
Bonachela and others. After graduating, she started her
professional career with Marina Mascarell and Club
Guy & Roni.
In 2018, Eliana joined the Staatstheater Mainz,
performing new works by Roy Assaf, Sharon Eyal, Club Guy & Roni, Victor Quijada, Felix Berner, and Pierre Rigal.
Since 2020, she has been part of Peeping Tom, touring internationally with Diptych and Triptych
including performances in prestigious theatres as the Opéra national de Paris. In 2026, she is working with the company on the new creation, Carmen, which will be presented at the Salzburger Festspiele.
Alongside her work with Peeping Tom, Eliana also collaborated with Club Guy & Roni on productions such as Fortune (2022) and Empathy (2023).
Alongside her performing career, Eliana has also developed her choreographic practice. In 2022, together with Borna Babić, she co-created AMAE, which received First Prize at the Copenhagen International Choreography Competition, as well as production awards from Nederlands Dans Theater and Holstebro Dansekompagni. In 2023, the work gained further recognition at the Rotterdam International Choreographic Competion, receiving Partner Awards from Codarts and Dansateliers. 2 years later, Eliana collaborated with Akira Yoshida on the creation of Other Side.
In 2025, she co-founded the dance company Paper Bridge with Borna Babić. Together, they created a new work for NDT 2 as part of the Up & Coming project and a creation for Bayerisches StaatsballeI in Munich, alongside other international artists under the curatorship of Paul Lighdoot and Sol León.
They also premiered their independent production AMAE NO KŌZŌ. In 2026, the duo created a new work for Xie Xin Dance Theatre in Shanghai and an immersive site-specific performance for The Judgement Hall Festival in London. Their upcoming projects in 2027 include a new creation for the Nationaltheater Mannheim and a second work for Bayerisches Staatsballett.
In 2024, Eliana has been awarded as Performer of the year by Danza & Danza Italian magazine.
In addition to her work as dancer and choreographer, Eliana teaches workshops around the world, nurturing her passion for teaching as well.
